Vendors Sought for Second Annual Celebration of Ukrainian Culture

The tastes, sounds and artisanry of Ukraine will be on display at Ukraine Culture Day, sponsored by TechFarms.

Vendors are currently being sought for the event, which is entering its second year and is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9, beginning at 10 a.m. at 1002 Arthur Drive in Lynn Haven.

The celebration will feature Ukrainian food and music; a photo booth with a Ukrainian backdrop; and a gallery of photos depicting Ukrainian cities and ways of life. A musician will play a bandura, a Ukrainian plucked-string folk instrument. And a metal-detecting drone, developed to facilitate demining efforts in Ukraine, will be on display.

A year ago, vendors offered handmade jewelry, embroidery, crocheted items, headbands, cookies, breads and more for sale. The cost to participate as a vendor is just $20. If interested, contact Anastasiia Khudiaieva at akhudiaieva@techfarms.com.

Event proceeds will go to altruTek, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing humanitarian initiatives through the power of advanced and applied technology; it is focused especially on ridding the world of landmines and unexploded ordnance.
