Ukrainian Culture Day: Celebration is Entertaining, Educational and Impactful

Date: 2024-11-09, 10AM – 3PM

Price: $5

Venue: Offline

Make plans to join in a celebration of a nation rich in history, traditions, customs and artistic pursuits. For the second year, TechFarms is presenting Ukrainian Culture Day, an entertaining and educational event that serves to support an important humanitarian cause.

The gathering will take place in Lynn Haven on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1002 Arthur Drive, formerly the home of the Sallie Mae Servicing Corp. and General Dynamics.

Last year, Ukrainian Culture Day attracted more than 300 people including many members of Northwest Florida’s Ukrainian community and others who gained appreciation for a lifestyle they had never encountered before. In Year 2, organizers look forward to a bigger and better event that has attracted support from a large number of partners, sponsors and vendors.

Event proceeds will go to altruTek, a nonprofit dedicated to combatting problems resulting from human activity with emerging technologies. It is focused particularly on supporting efforts to rid Ukraine of landmines and other unexploded ordnance that is preventing the nation’s farmers from getting into their fields. Russian aggression has made Ukraine the most mined nation in the world.

Ukrainian Culture Day will feature Ukrainian foods, crafts, music and dance, along with activities for children. A mine-detecting drone developed by ArroTech, a tenant business at TechFarms, will be on display.

Admission is just $5 and children under 12 are admitted free. We look forward to seeing you there.
